Allotments in St Ives
Our allotment holders enjoy being able to grow their own fresh produce and escaping back to nature.
St Ives Town Council has an allotment site located off Hill Rise, near to Old Ramsey Road. Whether you are a gardening enthusiast or a beginner, our plots are perfect for growing your own fruits, vegetables, herbs and flowers.
Benefits of having an Allotment
An allotment brings its own benefits:
- fresh, home-grown produce;
- relaxation and exercise in the fresh air;
- friendly, supportive community; and
- environmentally friendly gardening, etc.
There is also the Hill Rise Allotment Association you can join. Formed in 2008, the Association is active in liaising with St Ives Town Council on all matters affecting plot holders. Allotment Fees
Our Allotments come in two sizes and prices are as follows:
- Full plot – £43.00
- Half plot – £21.50
With effect from 1st April 2025 prices will increase to £46 for a full plot and £23 for a half plot.
A deposit of £75 is required for all allotments.
