Full Council
Full Council is responsible for all the business of St Ives Town Council. Although some work is delegated to Committees, Full Council agendas include anything from receipt of minutes from Committees and the setting of the annual budget to the signing off of the Annual Governance and Accountability Return. Full Council meets monthly, on the second Wednesday of the month in the Town Hall Chamber.

Estates Committee
The Estates Committee is established to oversee all matters relating to council owned buildings, parks, cemeteries, open spaces, public toilets, recreational and other activities.

Finance and Policy Committee
The Finance & Policy Committee was established in 2024 to act on the Town Council’s behalf on matters relating to finances, strategy, policy and corporate governance of the Council.

Personnel Committee
The Personnel Committee’s role is to act on the Town Council’s behalf with matters of employment. The Committee will have the responsibility for personnel, and any other such matters as may from time to time be referred by the Town Council.

Planning Committee
The Planning Committee is established to act on the Council’s behalf on matters relating to all planning applications on which the Council is consulted, and consider all matters relating to planning policy, infrastructure and development.

Resilience Committee
This committee has been established to act on the Town Council’s behalf to build capacity for resilience and sustainability within the town of St Ives. The Committee is to work with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Resilience Forum Community Resilience Working Group.
